Welcome to the Decibel Boost Podcast album roundup for the month of May 2021. The month of May this year brought a handful of notable new releases to dig into, but not an overwhelming amount or so, leaving some breathing room for these projects. First: Alex dissects the newest album from Daniel Tompkins’ White Moth Black Butterfly as well as the debut full-length from one of the current big rising teen pop singers, Olivia Rodrigo. Next up: Mark digs into the posthumous offerings of rap icons DMX and MF DOOM, Griselda o’clock with Benny The Butcher and Mach-Hommy, and Mr. Platinum With No Features* himself. Finally: Robert praises Perturbator’s first full-length album in 5 years and the sophomore effort from UK noise rockers black midi, while delving into the delayed Van Weezer album… because Weezer is still just existing for some reason.
*May or may not have features.
