Monthly Album Roundup – August 2020

Welcome to the Decibel Boost Podcast album roundup for the months of August 2020. Thankfully, in comparison to the last roundup, there weren’t as many sudden surprises leading to a manageable but still noteworthy set of releases to discuss. First up: Alex goes into prog mode with new projects from Pain of Salvation and John Petrucci while also pulling an interesting under-the-radar release from a very… uniquely-named act. Next, Mark discusses the second major project this year from rapper Boldy James as well as new releases from Amine, Hudson Mohwake, Nas, and blackbear among others. Finally, Robert dives into some heavy new offerings from Year of the Knife, Black Crown Initiate, Primitive Man, and even a new-ish set of jams from Pig Destroyer.

Your hosts this month are Robert (@RobBarracuda), Alex (@AuraOfAzure), and Mark (@MAK2HybridMedia). Subscribe to the podcast on iTunes and Google Play Music.
