Monthly Album Roundup – May 2019

Welcome to the Decibel Boost Podcast album roundup for the month of May 2019. Summer is closing in, and with the middle third of 2019 now beginning, a slew of major releases came out of the woodwork for everyone’s listening pleasure. First off, Alex commends the new Darkthrone, Amon Amarth, and Daniel Tompkins releases while taking some well-deserved jabs at Miley Cyrus’ latest effort. Mark lays down praise for the unexpected new releases from Denzel Curry and Tyler the Creator while also giving a verbal smackdown to DJ Khaled over his latest album and public hissy fits. Robert gets ground into the dust with the newest Call of the Void and Full of Hell releases and finds himself bored to tears from Mac Demarco’s latest project. Additionally, while all three bring the knives out for Logic’s 2nd L of the year, the crew also engages in a group discussion of Flying Lotus’ much-anticipated return project, Flamagra.
